The big farming community of the valley is here on the main road in the middle of terraced fields.

• Culture - The townspeople are heavily exposed to broader Xanadu (empirial) culture, but most of them are descended from the ancestors who settled the valley, and identify strongly with their own local religion and culture. The farmers have have the most traditional clothing.
• LOCATIONS
  • Hokum Village
    • Commerce - Merchants trade and entertainers perform continually in the town commons.
    • People - Most of the farmers and fishermen (mostly kobolds) live right in the middle of town. People in this town ran off all of the Loyalists and took their land during the war. Because of the Loyalist loggers in Broad Mouth, some farmers find great pride in competition with their neighboring town.

    • Buildings - There are few origional buildings left in Hokum Village Many of its buildings reflect the post-Liberation Ghost Dragon celebration. Figures of Gargoyles are found on the buildings and some family shrines include Gargoyle ancestors. There is a local alchemist business and some artesan specialists.
  • Broad Mouth
    • Commerce - Some older alchemists find it convenient to practice here. Artisans find plenty of work here. Most commerce is done by trade in currency, which sets it apart from much of the valley.
    • People - Long ago farm fishing was developed by the locals. Today most of the locals are farm fishers or loggers with families. The people of Broad Mouth have competitions including wrestling matches and other events.
    • Landscape - Broad mouth is situated near the forest at a broad flat part of the lake. This is where the sediments are deposited by the flow of the water.
    • Buildings - Broad mouth has some of the oldest Kobold Settler architecture including a shrine to the ancients.
