Occupations

Alchemist (Xanadu)

Alchemists are experts on nature and physical science. They are also relied on for medical and social advice. The alchemists most important ability is Alchemy, which is mainly used to create consummable items like potions and fireworks.

Monk (Symbiotic)

Brothers and Sisters of the Symbiotic Order learn and promote the Order's principles for a sustainable society. They also recieve a general education and develop Synerga. They practise Syncrase to improve their Synerga. Athletic Abilities improve their health and performance in Syncrase practise.

Ninja (Scout)

Ninjas are masters of Stealth and Illusion. They work as scouts, spies and sometimes saboteurs or assassins. Martial Arts and Athletic Abilities such as Climbing, Swimming, Acrobatics and Running are also very useful for Ninjas.

Wrestler (Performer)

Exhibitions of athletic feats and martial arts, combined with theatrics, colorful costumes and special effects are a very popular form of entertainment on Xanadu. Wrestlers fight less-than-lethal duels with their Natural Weapons. They usually use a combination of Constriction and Tao Rho techniques. Athletic Abilities are important training, and Acrobatics is useful for other kinds of exhibition performance.

Hunter (Marksman)

Many Gargoyles and Minotaurs and a few Kobolds and Rocs hunt for a living. These hunters primarily use Marksmanship with some combination of Archery, Firearms or Thrown Weapons. Detection and Stealth are also very useful. A few hunters also use Hand to Hand techniques to bring down their quarry.

Artisan (Craftsman)

Artisans produce a variety of materials and products using Craftsmanship ability and specific skills. Artisans usually create reuseable items like tools, clothing, armor and weapons. They also create some types of ammunition, like arrows.

Zealot (Politician)

Zealots are partisans, activists and champions of various causes. They often lobby and protest in and around the resorts in the Fire region. Communication ability is very important to Zealots. They are especially effective at gathering and organizing parties of supporters for short and long-term campaigns.

Guard (Imperial)

Although not all Guards are Imperial Guards, the Empire is the largest employer and trainer of Guards in the Valley. Imperial Guard training is based on Tao Rho technique and various Hand to Hand Weapon Proficiencies. Effective fighters also need Athletic Abilities.
