Other Animals

In the Squawk universe, the dominant type of animal is the Archosaur. Archosaurs include birds, dinosaurs and crocodilians. Archosaurian life is the most successful type of large animal life in biological history, so it isn't really surprising that in Squawk most visible animal life is archosaurian.

Squawk has some biological standards that define it's genre. Certain things simply do not exist in any Squawk setting and are not allowed. None of our fictional Squawk creatures may be used outside of the Squawk genre, especially the Anthrosaurs, but also the other original fictional organisms:

  1. No Mammals. Archosaurs can be "cute and furry" with big eyes and "hair-like psedofeathers", but absolutely NO mammals are allowed in the Squawk genre. No places with mammals are allowed in Squawk. No mammals can ever visit a Squawk place.
  2. No Humans. That's right, no graven images. This includes anything that even vaguely resembles a human face. This especially applies to the sort of "races" that appear in much of the Tolkien-esque fantasy genre and the unnaturally human-like "aliens" that appear in most of science fiction or "space opera." No places with these "human wanna-bes" are allowed in Squawk, nor are these creatures ever allowed to visit a Squawk place.
  3. If you don't want to go by these rules, feel free to use the Hack and Slash Role Playing System to make your own RPG, but diluting Squawk is forbidden. If a game (or other work) does not live up to this list of rules, it is not to be considered in the Squawk genre, and is forbidden to use any of our fictional creatures, including all of our Anthrosaurs, but also including all of our other original fictional organsisms.

Here are some creatures that have not yet been appropriately classified:
