Trydeen

Trydeen is a living organism. The entire planet is a single creature. Trydeen has massive plant roots that exend all the way into the core of the planet. Trydeen has no metalic ores or fossil fules, and is very mineral poor.

Trydeen has a dense red and blue poison cloud layer covering it's entire surface, except for the series of green mountain peaks that rise through the overcast. Electrical storms are a frequent occurance, with a constant visible high voltage eletrical pulsing within the clouds themselves, making the clouds dangerous to travel through. On Trydeen, the Bio-technology, or "Magic" as it is called by the local Anthrosaur population, is very advanced.

Trydeen is divided into 2 major regions, the Overworld and the Underworld. The Overworld is the part of the planet that exists above the cloud cover, and the Underworld is that part which exist below the cloud cover.

Overworld

Except for the view of the purple clouds cover below, the Overworld is very green. The Overworld's ground is covered in over a meter of dense moss like plantlife who's roots blend into the thick topsoil underneath. Grass grows from the top of this organic mass. There are some thick forrests, containing massive entwining vines as thick as trees. Even the water is green with photosynthetic microrganisms.

Most of the anthrosaurs in the Overworld are Basilisks. These Basilisk cultures are typically ran by local Priests. Guardians are the soldiers who enforce the religous law established by the Priests. The common villagers are farmers, engaging in a variety of agricultural labor.

Generally, the Gryphons of the Overworld are hunters and traders, living in hostile nomadic tribes. Often attacking the Basilisk villages, there has been an effort by the Basilisks to convert the Gryphons to the Basilisk way of life. This effort has been partially successful, so many Gryphons also serve as Basilisk agricutural workers or Guardians, or in some unusual cases become priests to help convert other Gryphons.

The Manticores of the Overworld usually are farmers, working along side the Basilisks. Most of the Gaurdians are Manticores. There are some territorial maticore tribes not converted to the Basilisk way of life, who are hostile, and particularly hostile towards the nomadic Gryphon tribes.

The Ogre tribes are usually peaceful, unless being attacked. In the Basilisk culture, these Ogres often serve as non-missionary Priests, or more often as farmers. There are many Ogre Gaurdians.

The Orcs of the Overworld live mostly as peaceful fisherman in it's many small lakes. Some of thier swellings are actually in, on, or below the lakes, having developed a style of subterainian and sub aquatic architecture. These Orcs usally trade peacfully with the other anthrosaur cultures.

Underworld

The dark underworld has occasional groupings of massive vines that extend from under the ground into the poisonous cloud cover a few kilometers above. These vines feed off of the electricity in the clouds. The vines are several meters thick and are spaced a few hundred meters apart within a group. The groups are spaced a few kilometers apart.
